In the arts, Sameen Agha from Pakistan took home the Grand Prize for her sculpture A Home is a Terrible Place to Love. Aside from the main prize, the runner-ups received HK$30,000 each. The first runner-up was reporter Xi Tianqi, who won the news category for her in-depth series of articles on cross-border organ transplantation and fertility perseveration. The second runner-up was copy editor James Cook, who wrote an innovative story about Hong Kong’s efforts to speed up adoption of electric vehicles.
The judging panel is comprised of experts from academia, industry and government, with the winner selected by an independent Review Committee and Compliance Oversight Committee.
