This year’s competition saw 91 books shortlisted, including two from the oldest winners in previous years-Suratman Markesan and Wang Gungwu. Other writers to win multiple awards include Tamil novelist Rama Suresh and a newcomer, Ning Cai. All the shortlisted authors will get a commissioned trophy and a 12-month subscription to StoryTel.
