The Hong Kong Prize for Science and Technology Innovation
The hongkong prize is an annual award that aims to reward outstanding scientists and research teams who have made significant contributions to science and technology innovation and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Hong Kong. It is hosted by the Hong Kong Alliance of Technology and Innovation and sponsored by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited.
The award is divided into five categories: artificial intelligence and robotics; life and health; new materials and new energy; advanced manufacturing; and fintech. The prizes are based on a standardized review process to ensure the objective and fair evaluation of nominees and winners.
A HK$20,000 cash prize is awarded to the champion of each category. The winner will represent the city at an international final in Russia later this year.
There are several ways to enter the hongkong prize, including submitting an online nomination or visiting the office in person. The nominations will be evaluated by a committee of professional adjudicators. Anyone can submit an entry, although candidates who are scientists and entrepreneurs or senior managers from scientific and technological institutions are especially welcome.
Applicants must have made contributions to the development of science and technology innovation in Hong Kong through their own research, invention, invention patent, patent application or invention publication. They should have made major advances in their field, created substantial value for the public, and demonstrated excellent performance in their work.
If you are a scientist, researcher or senior manager who is interested in the BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize, please apply at the BOCHK website. You will be contacted by the Secretariat in due course for further information on the application process.
This prize is a great opportunity for students to present their research in a public forum and get feedback from industry professionals. The presentation will be judged by a panel of judges, who will evaluate each student’s ability to convey their ideas and conclusions clearly.
The HK$20,000 cash prize is an incredible incentive to get the best student presentation at the competition. The students will have a chance to compete with other universities around the world and be recognized for their outstanding presentation skills.
Besides the HK$20,000, students will also be awarded travel expenses to attend the BOCHK STIP Award ceremony in Hong Kong. In addition, a certificate will be awarded to each of the winners.
In recent years, the HK$20,000 has proven to be a valuable tool for student promotion, attracting attention from potential employers and helping students win prestigious scholarships. Many students who have won the HK$20,000 are now pursuing careers in their fields.
A HK$1 million bonus for any horse that wins in Class One or above before it turns five is another great way to boost the value of your investment in the racing industry. This boost was implemented in March last year and has since boosted the total purses for Hong Kong’s most lucrative races.
The HK$1 million High Achievement Bonus scheme is the biggest bonus scheme in the sport, and it’s a win-win for both owners and jockeys. Jockeys will receive 10 per cent of the total purse for a successful victory, while owners will be awarded a top-up bonus if their horse wins in Class One or above before it turns 5.
