The higher level wrapper functions abcSGP and updateSGP also utilize the LONG format for streamlined operational analyses. The format choice should be driven by conditions such as the length of time you plan to run these analyses and your ability to store large amounts of data. Generally, you will be better off with the longer LONG formatted data sets for your operational SGP analyses. This will result in shorter source code and greater efficiency for your analyses.
